Cuisinart Grind and Brew
Cuisinart Grind and Brew coffee maker comes in a variety of sizes and styles and with several features.
These coffee makers all automatically grind whole beans before brewing and are fully programmable for up to 24 hours so you can set the start of brewing at your convenience. Here we will go into the details of each of these products.
Cuisinart Grind and Brew 10 cup Coffee Makers
There are three different models that brew a maximum of 10 cups. They are all automatic in that they grind whole beans before brewing each time and they are all programmable for up to 24 hours so you can wake up to fresh brewed coffee in the morning. Other features include a permanent filter and a pause brew feature that allows you dispense a cup before entire brewing process is complete. You can also brew smaller amounts of 1 to 4 cups instead of the entire 10 cups capacity without sacrificing flavor. Remember each cups is actually 5 ounces so that is not your regular mug of coffee. The charcoal water filter that is included is great as it removes impurities from the water. You may still want to start with filtered water for best results.
The DBG-475K model comes in either black or white and has an Italian design. The glass carafe has an ergonomic handle. The grinder and filter area are separate so it is easier to clean. It also has an adjustable auto shutoff that can be programmed for between zero to four hours.
The other two models DBG-600BC and DBG-650BC are very similar except for color and style. The 600 is the Italian design in brushed chrome and is a little taller and the 650 is the regular design in black and chrome and is a little more wide than tall. The big feature included with these two is the thermal carafe that the coffee dispenses into. It is double insulated to keep you coffee warm for a long time. The Cuisinart Thermal coffee maker automatically shuts off when brewing is over.
Cuisinart Grind and Brew 12 cup Coffee Makers
The regular models for the 12 cup coffeemakers, DBG-550BK and DBG-625BC, are very similar to the 10 cup DBG-475K listed above. All the features are the same and they come in the European and regular design also.
Cuisinart also carries a 12 cup model DBG-700BC which is same as above but it comes with a burr grinder. Burr grinders are consider to be superior as they grind more slowly and finely to ensure all flavor from the coffee beans is preserved. This Cuisinart coffee maker has a bean hopper that can hold up to half a pound of coffee beans and it comes with a lid that seals tight to prevent moisture from getting in. The burr grinder automatically grinds the beans right before brewing and you can select not just the amount you want to grind and make (from 2 to 12 cups) you can also select the coffee strength you like – mild, regular or strong.
Cuisinart's deluxe model is the 12 cup Burr Grind & Brew with Thermal Carafe, the DGB-900BC. This is the top of the line and has all the features you can ask for in a coffeemaker. This product combines the burr grinder with a thermal carafe that will keep you freshly ground, freshly brewed coffee hot for hours. You can carry the thermal carafe to enjoy your coffee anywhere. |
